Viral Marketing Books (1)

I thought as an irregular feature i might mention some of the books that have shaped my views on viral marketing.
The first is by Seth Godin.
Godin himself states that the content of his book seems obvious. Godin refers to thoughts about permission marketing and ideaviruses, they may sound obvious marketers are still throwing large sums of money at “old-fashioned” interruption marketing.
Godin really gets to the crux of what all us viral marketeers have been discussing for years
“The future belongs to marketers who establish a foundation and process where interested people can market to each other,” he writes. “Ignite consumer networks and then get out of the way and let them talk.”
It’s a bit old now but an absolute classic and must read.
Plus he as now made it available free http://www.sethgodin.com/ideavirus/01-getit.html
