Quality, workmanship, time and effort

Sorry folks I’m away so posts are coming real slow.

BUT.. spotted this

Recent campaign by Royal Philips Electronics to promote the company’s new movie theater-proportioned 21:9 LCD television set. Why do I love this viral.

Well one it is technically difficult. It is a stunning piece of cinematography and as with most short films has a really nice story line. It has attracted a good deal of attention.

What is also really nice about this is that it shows now how much effort is going into these virals. Not only the production; (required a crew of more than 100, a motion-controlled rig, three cranes and plenty of 3D trickery. Stuntmen and dancers with the ability to remain in awkward positions for long periods of time were used to help create the freeze-framed effect) but then the talking about the production. And it deserves it. The film is really nicely done at the “extras” just make the whole thing more engaging. As consequence I have spent almost 30 minutes being exposed to a product and brand. try doing that with traditional methods.
