Might aswell create a new category here on the blog about Google virals, because they really got the hang of it, and they seem to fire one or so almost every week!

The latest one is actually my favourite yet, explaining the features of Google’s browser Chrome.

It’s very creative, original, has a great hand-made quality to it, and great harp music. It explains the browsers features using low-tech and make it very simple for non-tech people to understand.

And that’s a great way to look for the marketshare they’re wanting, explaining it well to the masses, and having it go viral.

In this post, we’re showing here a video of about Firefox’s 5 years, but first some considerations about Firefox itself as a viral.

The browser itself has gone viral over these 5 years, with over 1 billion downloads. Early adopters who tried it and liked it spread the word on and offline, and more people downloaded it and starting using.

Also, it’s open source, wich allows anyone (with coding skills that is) to participate and change it – which in term will make users engage with the product/brand better.

And now they launched this video a few days ago celebrating precisely that, their 5 years. With at least 1 billion fans, there’s high probability their video would go viral.

Good graphics, animation/motion design, this video has 93.000 in two days.

It also shows more and more companies are choosing this kinds of highly spreadable videos to pass along the word about their product.
